So. A few months ago, one of my favourite singer-songwriters, Christina Martin, asked me if I’d consider opening for her at a Halifax show in August. I was pretty sure she wasn’t asking me to play a few nursery rhymes and Christmas carols on piano, and it turned out my hunch was right. In fact, she was asking me to open for her by reading. Exciting! So much of my writing has been musician-focused over the last zillion years or so, and it’s really cool to think of giving a reading from Fallsy Downsies at a music venue, opening for a musician. Terrifying! And awesome.
